Meet André Bisson. The award winning composer, arranger, guitar player and vocalist is one of the hardest working musicians around. Soulful, talented and sharp Bisson was clearly born with a passion for music and performing, as well as the smarts and talent to pull it all together and build a large following in Southern Ontario and beyond.
Since 2005 André Bisson has been performing his unique blend of original Rhythm & Blues and Soul Music throughout Canada, USA, and Europe. Andre has recorded, composed and arranged 10 studio and award winning albums that have reached orchestrations of up to 20 pieces and that has led to several international tours and sold out concerts.
Notably André won the Male Vocalist of year award for the 2015 Hamilton Blues Awards. He was also nominated for a 2017 Maple Blues Awards, and a 5X Nominee including 2023 for the Hamilton Arts Awards. The musicians André uses for his performances are award winning in their own rights including the Juno winning Pat Carey who is a member of Downchild Blues Band, trumpeter Loretta Hale in 2019, 2023, 2024 and Gordon Aeichele 2020, Dan Jancar 2024 who were nominated for a Maple Blues Award for Horn Player of the year. As well as Jesse O’Brien(Colin James/Sass Jordan) who won the Keyboard Player of the Year Award for the 2020 Maple Blues Awards. André recently was Nominated for a 2023 Hamilton Arts Award, a 2024 Maple Blues Award for Songwriter of the Year, and WON the 2022 Song of the Year Award for the International Song Contest for Blues & Roots Radio with his song ‘Down the Line’. Andre has released his 10th album in September 2023.
